CONTENTS

The course deals with the regulation of digital markets.

It is divided into three parts:

1. Introduction to competition law in digital markets: multi-sided markets, economic value of personal data, social networks and platforms.

2. European regulation of digital markets: digital markets act; digital services act; artificial intelligence act; data governance act and data act.

3. Practical cases and simulations (moot court): abuse of dominant position; influencers and misleading advertising; artificial intelligence and copyright; content moderation on social media; digital public administration.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Provide students with a framework of the discipline of digital markets, digital platforms, and digital service providing, with a focus on the use of artificial intelligence systems in the public and private sectors.
